Our Programs

As much as 95% of all chronic diseases are caused either due to improper food intake or inadequate nutrition in food. Hence, the poor are mostly affected by such diseases. The increasing cost of healthcare makes access to medical facilities unaffordable for many. The people in rural areas and slums lack the access to basic medical amenities. To aid such people, Sahayata Trust undertakes the following projects:

  • Indo-US Hospital (Eye and multispecialty Hospital): Indo-US hospital is a 60-bed hospital expanded based on the experience gained by running a 20-bed hospital.
  • Satellite clinics: Many villages and towns lack access to healthcare. We built clinics to provide treatment to the poor.
  • Free healthcare camps: Every year, about 5,000 patients are given free medical check-ups through our health camps.
  • Medical procedures for the poor: We arrange free cataract surgeries and dialysis sessions for those who can’t afford it.
  • Medical aid: We provide medical aids to the needy.
  • Hospital-based community eye health project

All projects are initiated with an aim to provide healthcare to the poor and needy. We have treated over 102,314 patients through our programs: 35,114 patients treated at Indo-US hospital, 12,875 patients visited our clinics, 7,437 patients were treated at eye camps, 5,734 patients were treated at the 10th India health initiative held at Hyderabad and Kerala, 3,432 patients visited our ‘Free Friday Camps’, 2,030 cataract surgeries were performed, 133 dialysis sessions were conducted and 97 surgeries were performed.
